 Assalam-o-alaikum Guys!

What is Water Cycle Process, And all the Processes include the Cycle?

What is water Cycle and Hydrological cycle?

Today we discuss the water cycle. The water cycle plays a very important role in the water circulation of Earth. The water cycle is also known as the hydrological cycle or hydrologic cycle. it is the continuous transfer of water from the atmosphere to the earth vice versa. The water cycle is the continuous circulation of water. It contains all the processes such as evaporation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff, percolation, interception and transpiration etc

Explaination:

.                    Sun drives the hydrologic cycle that heats the water of the ocean and then in the form of water vapours water molecules move toward the atmosphere from the ocean and then condensed from vapour to liquid and then move from atmosphere to land and then some of the water moves beneath the earth land and some of the intercepts from the buildings and some of the water evaporate from the soil and evaporate from the surface of leaves and trees. And some of the water flow at a constant time on the surface of the earth and the sub-surface of the earth is run-off that is from the surface move toward the ocean and then this process continuous is a water cycle. Water from atmosphere precipitate on earth and move from the soil below the earth surface in root zone and then move toward intermediate zone below the earth and then from it move toward capillary zone and at last move toward groundwater zone /free gravity zone. In the groundwater zone, the water is called groundwater that is moving upward on the earth surface by using pumps and from the well also groundwater is the drive from the pulley that is attached to the well for pulling the water in a bucket from the well to upward. Well is the very ancient way of using groundwater in the world.

Hydrologic cycle

What is Evaporation?

Evaporation is a major process of the hydrological cycle. Evaporation is the process of the movement of water toward the atmosphere. When sunlight occurs on the ocean then due to heat energy water molecules in the form of water vapour move toward earth . Evaporation occurs on soil is the evaporation and the water evaporation from the surface of leaves is transpiration. When both process meet is called Evapotranspiration. Evaporation occurs on the day and the process of transpiration occur day and night continuously. So evapotranspiration is a continuous process. It occurs both day and night.

What is Precipitation?

Precipitation is also a process of the water cycle and the hydrologic cycle. When water from the ocean moves toward the atmosphere in the form of vapours then it condenses and moves toward land in the form of water in the shape of rain, ice. glazes, snow and hails etc. Rain is the major form of precipitation. When it precipitates in a solid form then it is ice, hails glimpse.

What is Infiltration?

Infiltration is the third process of the hydrologic cycle. When water precipitate on the surface of the earth then it percolates through soil is infiltration. The infiltration rate depends on the type of land and soil. In infiltration water from the land move below the earth surface. When below the earth surface water move in horizontal streams is called seepage. When water moves below the surface in verticle streams it percolates from one stream layer to another stream layer. It is called percolation.

What is Interception?

Interception is the process of the hydrologic cycle. When water comes on the earth in the form of precipitation then some amount of water evaporates and some amount of water intercepted from the plants, building structure etc from it may be evaporated and infiltrated below the earth surface.

What is Runoff?

Runoff is the process of the hydrologic cycle. when the water precipitate on the earth, then the portion of precipitation that comes on the earth surface and reaches the stream channel above or below the stream channel. In runoff total water included surface runoff that is direct runoff and the subsurface runoff that is the water from the land that moves below the root zone and then it moves in the form of layers below the surface and meets to the channels. Runoff is the water that comes on the land and the water of channels like rivers, streams. From the runoff some water evaporates, some infiltrate and after that remaining stored in reservoirs on the land as reservoirs

                             Runoff = Precipitation- Losses

Depression Storage:

Depression storage is the part of precipitation that is stored in the catchment area.

Detention storage:

Detention storage is when rainfall occurs over a long period of time the rate of infiltrated water is lower than the groundwater. A depth of water develops on the earth.

Some important topics  according to Hydrology:

Vapourization:

It is the process of conversions of liquid into vapours.

Sublimation:

It is the process of conversions from solid to a gas phase without passing through a liquid phase.

Condensation:

It is the process of conversion of vapour molecules into the liquid phase.
